JACK R. HARDING
Jack R. Harding joined the U.S. Navy following graduation from high school in 1949. He trained as an aviation radioman and airborne sonar operator and served the majority of his tor in a (Top Secret) helicopter anti-submarine squadron during the Korean War with Honorable Discharge in 1953/4.
Recruited by the National Guard and attending Infantry OCS in Fort Benning, GA, Jack was commissioned as a 2nd Lt and later transferred to the Arizona National Guard and eventually the Army Reserve. Harding’s last military duty assignment was HQ Co. Cdr. Of an armored infantry company located at 64th and Oak in Phoenix, AZ. He served approximately 4 years Active Duty and 14 years Reserve.
Returning to Phoenix in 1960, Jack worked for the Southern Pacific and Santa Fe RR as a breakman and flagman until 1965. At this point he successfully obtained joint-venture partners to establish a manufacturing company to fabricate, market, install, and service Package Waste Treatment Plants. He served as part owner, President, and General Manager of the company and was instrumental in providing over 200 systems throughout Arizona and the Southwest. The company was sold in 1978. While building and installing commercial systems, Harding developed an aerobic system for individual homes and pioneered that business throughout the Southwest as well.
Harding obtained a real estate license in the early 1960s and upgraded to a broker after the three year requirement. He held a valid Broker’s license in Arizona for more than 40 years. In 1978 he began traveling with his brother Warren Harding, a nationally recognized educator and lecturer on the subject of Real Estate and Tax Deferred Exchanges. He also subsequently assisted in forming and conducting national marketing sessions throughout the U.S. with the ACADEMY NETWORK, CORP serving as the Chief Moderator.
In the mid 1990s, Harding served as a Hearing Officer for the Maricopa Co. Board of Equilization on the 2nd level of appeals for property taxes.
Currently, Harding is certified by the state of Arizona Department of Real Estate as an instructor for students requiring license renewal credits, teaches at the Arizona School of Real Estate, and is also available for private counseling and consulting.
